About LoadMaestro (TM) Band Carts

Dulond Tool & Engineering, Inc., has been in business since 1975 providing precision machine work to customers like the United States Air Force as well as serving other industries including, Medical, Marine and Computer Chip manufacturers. Our companies entry in the arena of Marching Band support equipment occurred after experiencing, first hand, the effort necessary to support a band during a busy marching season. We realized the need for a lightweight, compact and durable equipment that augment the many items necessary to transport. We believed that with our many years of experience in machining and working with aluminum, that we could develop such equipment.

Our band equipment carts are approximately 5' wide by 10'8" long with a 5" ground clearance in the open configuration. When the cart is folded and in the vertical position the equipment cart is 4' by 5'5" wide and 10.5" thick. The cart has an all aluminum welded handle for pulling or towing and can be removed or folded down when cart is being stored. The equipment cart comes with 2 10" wheels in the center and 4 removable and swiveling 10" wheels on each corner. The removable wheels are stored on the cart when it is stored in vertical position. The equipment cart will rotate in a 360° circle without moving forward or backward. The lightweight and simple design allows one person, although 2 persons are recommended, to completely set-up and breakdown. No tools are required to set up or break down equipment carts.

The Drum Majors cart/stand is approximately, 6' high x 4'wide x 8'6" long. It has an upper platform that can be elevated 18" above the 6' base height. The platform rises by means of a 1500lb capacity center jack with an easy access crank handle. The platform locks in the raised or lowered position via 4 ½" safety pins. The cart/stand also has 4 folding safety rails on the top of the platform, which fold up or down depending on individual requirements. The cart/stand also has an extendable ladder to access the platform in either the raised or lowered positions. The Drum Major cart/stand is capable of stowing 1 to 4 equipment carts, this is accomplished by 4 fold down ramps used to load and unload the equipment carts. Once the carts are loaded in the Drum Major cart/stand they are locked in the vertical position via simple brackets on each end of the cart. The drum major cart/stand is stabilized when loading or unloading by 4 adjustable and hand operated jacks. The cart/stand has a completely welded all steel handle for use in pulling or towing. The cart also has 2 10" non-swivel wheels and 2 10" swivel wheels.

The equipment cart and the Drum Major cart/stands lightweight and simple design allows one person, although 2 persons are recommended, to complete set-up and break down and load and un-load equipment carts. No tools are required to set-up or breakdown the Drum Major cart/stand.

Both the equipment cart and the drum major cart/stand are built from structural aluminum for strength and durability with all joints 100% welded. Both carts have aluminum expanded metal decking for a non-slip, dirt-free deck. Both carts are powder coat finished for a long lasting and durable finish. With the help of the Lakewood Ranch Marching Mustang Band our carts were put through the grueling band season, which consisted of band camp, band practices, football halftime shows and numerous marching band competitions. This allowed us the opportunity to have our carts tested the way they were going to be used and also allowed us to make any necessary changes for the utmost durability and safety we felt necessary.
